A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Lynda – a coach, a mum, a step-mum, a rural woman, and someone who’s walked through challenges and come out the other side with more compassion, more clarity, and a deeper understanding of what it means to live fully.
I believe that our most meaningful growth comes from the inside out – and that when we create space to slow down, connect with ourselves, and listen to what really matters, we open the door to a more vibrant, purposeful life.
My Story
Just like many of the women I now support, my life has been full of twists, challenges, and seasons of disconnection.
I lived through an unsafe first marriage, became a young single mother, and five years later met the love of my life – and with him, welcomed a blended family that brought its own mix of love and complexity.
I became a mum again, moved out to the country, far from the support of my family, and found myself juggling life on the land: children, accounts, step-parenting, running aerobics classes in the local school hall – doing all the things.
I held it together, because that’s what I thought I was supposed to do.
Then my mum passed away. And three years later, my dad. After years of giving outwardly, I was exhausted, stretched thin, and completely disconnected from myself. I didn’t know what I wanted anymore, or who I was underneath the roles I played.
When my dad was in hospice, a family member called me their rock.
Although it was meant with love, something inside me cracked.
I didn’t want to be the rock anymore. I was tired of pretending I was fine when I wasn’t.
Tired of believing I had to hold it all together for everyone else – especially when no one had ever actually asked me to.
That was my turning point.
After four years of hesitation, I finally signed up for coaching training. I thought it would be a great way to combine my 27 years in the fitness industry with my passion for health and wellbeing. But what I got was so much more.
At Health Coach Institute, I didn’t just learn how to coach others – I had to do the inner work myself. And through that process, I met aspects of myself I never knew existed. I discovered that many of the traits I’d once thought of as flaws were actually survival strategies – well-practiced habits that had kept me going. And, most powerfully, I realised that they were not fixed. They could shift. I could change.
For the first time in my life, I started meeting myself with curiosity rather than criticism. I stopped bullying myself toward perfection and started learning how to truly listen to what I needed.
That changed everything – not just for me, but for how I now support the women who walk through my (virtual or literal) door.
If I hadn’t followed that whisper to begin this work, I might have spent my whole life never really knowing myself – or seeing what I was truly capable of.
And now? I get to pay it forward.

Why I Do This Work.
My purpose is to truly listen – to offer a safe, welcoming space where women can explore who they are, what they want, and what might be getting in the way. I help women reconnect with themselves so they can create deeper, more fulfilling connections with the people they love – and with life itself.
I want you to know – truly know – that you are so much more than you think you are.
You are capable of extraordinary things.
And your past, your patterns, and your people-pleasing tendencies don’t define you.
They can be understood, healed, and reshaped – so you can lead a life that feels like yours.
I’m here to help you raise your expectations of what’s possible – and gently guide you through the resistance that’s keeping you from following your dreams.
My Coaching Training
I began my training with Health Coach Institute in January 2021 when I enrolled in their Become a Health & Life Coach program. Over 10 intense months of videos, skills labs, webinars, coaching sessions, and practice clients, I graduated in November 2021 with a whole new perspective on what’s possible – not only for others, but for myself.
In June 2023, I deepened my education through their advanced dual coaching programme: Transformational Coaching Method (TCM) and Business Accelerator (BA).
In TCM, I learned advanced coaching skills that help my clients dissolve resistance, meet their inner world with more safety, and move toward lasting change.
In BA, I was mentored in the art of authentic marketing and community-building – skills that allow me to reach the right women with the right kind of support.
This journey has been one of immense personal growth, and I am deeply grateful to the Health Coach Institute team for the skills, friendships, and confidence that continue to shape my coaching and my life.
If you’re curious about a coaching career or training with HCI, feel free to reach out – I’m always happy to share my experience.
“You can learn new things in your life at any time if you’re willing to be a beginner.
If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you.”
